Kathleen Crampton is a freelance copywriter and certified copy editor with 10 years of experience providing editorial services to enterprise clients, small businesses, and authors.
Growing up near Dallas, Texas, Kathleen eventually moved out west to pursue a journalism degree from Point Loma Nazarene University. She was a writer and editor of the university paper, The Point, for three years and, with staff, helped with the migration from print to digital content. The San Diego Society of Professional Journalists awarded her first place for a “College Media Arts/Entertainment story” in 2015.
After a number of marketing and publishing internships, Kathleen began her career as an editor of technical government materials and later moved into the eLearning industry, where she honed her copy and development editing skills and contributed to a book that won a Textbook Excellence Award from the Textbook & Academic Authors Association. In her free time, Kathleen began writing copy for real estate professionals—and in 2020, she made the jump from publishing to the marketing world.
Since then, Kathleen has written and edited SEO content for brands like Expedia, Travelocity, Square, Petco, American Home Shield, Neighbor, CVS, and Tawkify, creating engaging copy for blogs, product descriptions, landing pages, and more. Joining EZ Texting’s content operations team in late 2022, Kathleen has been focused on helping customers learn about text marketing tools and strategies that can lead to business success.
When she’s not tapping away on her laptop, Kathleen laces up her running shoes and explores her home city of San Diego.
